Of Pictures and Pugs

Tonight I have my second illustration class. We're supposed to bring our favorite children's book and a sample of our own art work. So I'm thinking I'll bring 'Frida' of course or 'The Spider and the Fly' because of their out of this world illustrations. As for myself, I'm not sure what to bring. I'm looking and I found this:

Gingklo is so elegant-
Little black satin pug on a curvey, creamy s-shaped sofa
Wearing a string of sparkling jewels.
The slumbering sleepy sausage dog
Is my Moon Joy.

Awww... that's so cool of you! I know, I know the Boo-Bah is just WRONG and so sinister looking! God, I'm excited I've gotten to use the word sinister twice today! I really love my fire hydrant photos, but I guess I'm alone in that attraction. Damn! I just think they're so fricking cool. But that's an artist and a mother for you, loving even the most abhorred. Aren't you excited by what you have to look forward to?

I'm soooo looking forward to a change in perspective. I don't know if I'll be able to all those things whole heartedly. From what I've seen, the boobahs and the wiggles creep me out.

We don't do TV really and he has no clue as to who the Wiggles are. The BooBah was a fluke and he was actually scared of it at first. I really look down on battery operated toys and this is one of the few. You will find what works for you. I take a very old old school approach...we talk, laugh and sing constantly. we read and listen to alot of different music. We play with his wooden toys together and I enjoy it as much as him. I just came inot my own when I had him. I know I shouldn't be judgemental and I try honestly not to be, but when someone puts their screwed selfish needs ahead of their childs and makes a lame excuse for it, I have a BIG problem with it. I guess I shouldn't really. I'm crossing my fingers that they're the ones tearing their hair out when that babe is in their teens and they wonder just what they did wrong...hello?! Okay...now I'll get off the soapbox.
