I am getting spammed and whammed with comments in the archives for so much bullshit I could scream! It is going to take me forever to close comments on everything. GRRRRRRRR! I really don't want to moderate comments. Any comments or suggestions? No not you, spam fuckers.

Okay I know nothing about html but I'm trying to be all stealth by tampering with the code....let's see if I can "F" those automated bastards up. Keeping my finglings crossed!
Yeah, that sucks :( Can you do a word/number verification code thingy? It sucks to have to moderate, eh? At least if you had something like that then people could still leave comments and you wouldn't have to do that much moderating.
Luckily no one reads my blog...not even spammers! LOL! (knock on wood!)
I first tried the letter verification, which works pretty well, but sometimes it will show your readers an empty box, and no letters to verify, and sometimes they are unreadable, and sometimes it just doesn't work...so I gave up that and went to Haloscan. You can attach it to blogger, and it seems to work pretty well, with no spam getting through. I would try that if I were you. Turn that on, and play with the code, and go in and turn off all comments for the blog through blogger. That can work. Takes a bit of messing, though, to have all of your old comments still show along with the Haloscan.
Can't offer much other than sympathy. I'm on wordpress which seems to have pretty anti-spam tech. Can't believe the amount of offers for viagraI get. Kind of offensive in all sorts of ways.

J- I'm definitely going to look into Haloscan, I remember your prob. The only thing is, this is a weird template and sometimes other codes don't work within it. I don't know html so it's frustrating. I tinker until it looks and acts kind of right. It's like a fun puzzle.
UnRD- Yes! Very offensive when you get spammed with like 218 comments on the post about pulling things out of your dogs arse. ;) Geeeeez. I'm going for a walk.
I hate those spammers too!!! I have to go through my list of comments and delete them. But now that I've moved to a new platform, I got myself a spam-screener so I don't have to put up with it anymore.
J's pro with this stuff. I would so follow her advice.
