You KNOW it's a small town when your #1 match returned from Yahoo Personals is your ex boyfriend. I'm NOT a member, but from time to time I get curious. Why even bother, right?

I like to see just what I'm missing since giving birth to 'the big one'. I do think it's extremely hard to meet people in this town(not that I want to meet anyone).
LOL! Small world! That's hillarious :) You know, I once perused Yahoo personals ages ago out of curiosity and my ex was on there too. Pretty sleazy, since he had a live-in girlfriend at the time! LOL...some things never change.
Meeting "quality" people is sometimes hard to do- especially if you live in a small town where everyone knows each other. It's also sometimes challenging to meet people if you live in a big city though. One of my girlfriends told me she was on LavaLife, Match.com AND Yahoo Personals at one point. She said it was fun meeting new people and making new friends. She's a gorgeous girl and really sweet, smart and everything a guy would ever want, but had a hard time meeting guys. Anyway, it was a fun and easy way to "network". She was on those online dating services for a few years but said that she got tired of that "scene" because most of the guys she met were dating a slew of girls while dating her. Duh!! I mean, she was doing the same thing, so I don't know what she expected. Anyway, she is now dating someone she met through a friend.
I have quite a few friends who have met their partners or spouses via internet, so I think there's nothing wrong with it at all :) I met my husband through mutual friends, but *shrug* I admit I've used Yahoo personals years and years ago (that's how I met Bozo, the ex). LOL! Shhhh ;)
Gosh, since Py and I met in (gulp) 1987, I wouldn't even KNOW how to go about meeting people nowadays...crazy, huh? But that can go for friendships, too, and I don't have a ton of real life friends anymore. Seemed like I made most of them at the service type jobs or at school.
FYI... this was NOT Snowflake's Y. Who knows, I mena I do enjoy my life so whatever happens, happens. I am glad for my independence. I'm not afraid of the dark, or being alone in the dark.

You've got it made just like you have it. We always want what we don't have!
This is true Jimbeaux. It's funny though because in the title of his ad he uses a pet name I made up for him. Geeeeeez!
