I feel so uninspired lately and blah for not writing anything worthwhile in months. Summer is going down hill fast and I'm just not ready quite yet for the nine month winter mind set. This melon totally sucked BTW too.
Heid - Sounds like it's time for you and the bambino to take a road trip to sunny Miami Beach where it's always summer! My condo should finally be ready in a few weeks...you can hang as long as you like...never know what you may find down here?!?!?

I am not sure why, but I love this picture! I am not ready for winter but I love fall. I can't wait to go apple picking.

Still summer here in NorCal. Today? Highs in the upper 80s/low 90s.

I'm so glad you clarified that the melon sucked, because I was sad to see such yummy fruit go to waste.
Long winters can be the pits. Lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for 5 years, and sometime around February it all got pretty depressing.
And all I think when I see that picture is how much I would love a good melon -- so it is comforting to hear that it wasn't one.
