Love your pics. So beautiful where you live. :)
Pretty cool that Snowflake can be out on that pier by himself...I would have been overprotective, worried that Maya would fall in. Ack! You seem to be a very balanced mom.

I am a very laid back mamma. At least I try to be. I was never nervous with him even from the moment he came into the world. He just needs to go ahead and prove me wrong sometime... ha ha. We were at my parents cottage yesterday. As a suprise, my mom and I went and did a little sprucing up and she made pierogis( a true labor of love and she isn't even polish!) for my dad .

We cleaned everything up and she left them in the refridgerator for him to find today. It is their 39 year anniversary tommorrow and he went up to the cottage for "opening Fishing" with my brother and some friends. He was really suprised! She is so damn sweet. It is very beautiful there and peaceful. Especailly this time of year because no one is around yet. They all come the last weekend in May and stay until September.

I miss pierogis from Pittsburgh. Love 'em with sauteed onions and kraut.

My polish granny always made them with a mixture of cottage cheese and milk inside. My mother one upped her by rolling the tempermental dough super thin. They are boiled and then deep fried, at which point you stab one open and put a big gob of butter inside and sprinkle liberally with salt n' pepper.

Thanks Crystal!
